Since the time of Henry Ford, Wellman have been developing friction materials to meet the ever increasing demands of their original equipment customers who are in turn global leaders in the supply of busses, forklifts, earthmoving equipment, mining machinery, marine transmission, military equipment, tractors
and excavators.

‘Bronze’ materials are used both ‘wet’ and ‘dry’ for many applications including brakes, power take-offs and powershift transmissions.

Graphite’ materials are supplied as original equipment in axles, wet brakes and powershift transmissions.

‘Paper’ materials are the latest generation of high performance products and are used extensively in oil-immersed brakes, shuttle clutches and power shift applications.

‘Ceramic’ button materials - original equipment in agricultural clutches, heavy duty truck and performance automotive clutches.
